Transferring money to your loved ones

Your account is your own and shouldn't be shared with others, unless officially registered as a shared account. If you want to transfer money to someone in your home country or locally here in the Faroe Islands, you can do so easily through the app.

Netbankin is your safest way of communcation and a cheaper option for transfers compared to our in-house services.

Before using your card online for the first time

To use your card for online purchases, you will have to get a password from Nets. Nets is an external provider outside of the bank and can give you a password that gives your account an extra layer of protection. You will have to use this password as well as a single use-code sent to you via SMS every time you use your card online.
