About Betri

Betri is a Faroese financial services group owned by its customers and rooted in a strong sense of community and long-term responsibility. Structured as a holding company, Betri manages its activities through a group of subsidiaries, working together to deliver financial security and value to individuals and society in the Faroe Islands.

At the core of the group are four subsidiaries: Betri Banki, Betri Trygging, Betri Pensjón, and Betri Heim. Each company has its own specialized role—covering banking, insurance, pensions, and property—but they share a common purpose: to support customers throughout all stages of life.

As a customer-owned organization, Betri reinvests its profits locally and operates with a democratic governance structure, where customers are represented in decision-making processes. The group’s purpose is to manage its assets responsibly and own and develop financial and real estate activities through its subsidiaries, ensuring long-term value creation for both customers and Faroese society.
